Soap residue is an inevitability in the shower, and if you’ve got hard water, are milky white water deposits. These deposits are actually salts, and also a good means to remove them out of glass shower doors would be to spray them with vinegar or lemon juice. If the shower has a marble floor, however, you don’t want to get these acids onto it, or else they will dull the finish. A two-step cleaning process functions best: Cover the marble at the same time you wash the glass; subsequently utilize a milder cleaner for the shower floor.

Wash the shower stall when the ground is dry. Cover it with a bathmat or towel. Roll up another towel and place it along the edge of the ground to capture runoff from the glass.

Mix a solution of one part white vinegar or lemon juice to one part water. Vinegar is much more acidic than lemon juice and functions faster. Place the mixture in a spray bottle.

Mist the door and glass panels of this shower stall gently with the mixture. Ideally, it is ideal to wet down all the stains without creating drips, but don’t stress; the rolled-up towel should catch any of this solution that does drip.

Let the cleaner function for 15 minutes; subsequently wipe the door aggressively having a synthetic sponge. Maintain a small bucket handy into that to squeeze any extra liquid. Spray a little more cleaner on stubborn spots as you scrub.

Sprinkle baking soda on your sponge and use it to rub down all of the glass. Baking soda also cleans mineral deposits, but more importantly, it neutralizes the acidic cleaner you’ve been using, therefore it won’t damage the ground.

Remove the towels from the ground and rinse the windows using clear water. Turn on the shower and make sure all the runoff from the glass goes down the drain.

Wash the floor with a solution of 1 ounce of pH-neutral dish soap per gallon of water. If that isn’t strong enough to perform the task, add 1/2 cup of chlorine to the answer. Buff out water stains and hard-to-remove soap residue with 0000-steel wool.
